Teacher Appreciation Week
Volunteers and Food Donations Needed 

Teacher Appreciation Week will take place from May 2 - 6. Each day something special is being planned. The PTSA is providing a waffle iron, waffle mix, ice cream & lunch. All non-perishable items may be dropped off to the front office between April 25 - 29. Perishable items need to be dropped off at the front office on April 29 no later than the end of the school day.

Please sign up for as many slots as possible, so that we can make that week a great success.


PHS PTSA 2016 Scholarship Award

Consideration will be given to a Patriot Senior entering a college, university, or training facility. The student (or student's family) must be a current PTSA member. The application deadline is May 6th.

Meet Our 2015-2016 PHS PTSA Board

Sarah Grasty, President

Sarah is a native of Pennsylvania and has lived in Gainesville, VA since 2012. She resides with her husband, Robert, and three children; Shane, Alexis, and Chadd. Sarah has been active in our Patriot High School serving as the Holiday Bazaar Chair, Vice President of the PTSA 2014-2015, Vice President of Boosters 2014-2015, and a Member of the Principal Advisory Council. She is honored to serve as our 2015-2016 PTSA President and looks forward to partnering with our PHS community to accomplish many great things. Sarah enjoys taking pictures, attending her children's various activities and church. 

Lysiane Keel, VP of Membership

Lysiane is a mom of seven children, four of which will graduate from Patriot High School. Lysiane joined the PTSA to stay on top of what's happening at school and get to know the teachers and administrators. She is currently employed by Montessori School. Prior to that she was a substitute teacher for Prince William County for seven years.


Shannah Young, Corresponding Secretary

Shannah was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Howard University’s school of Engineering in 1993 and remained in the Washington Metropolitan area. Shannah is a Senior Consultant for CGI Federal. She lives in Bristow with her husband, Adrian, and their three children; Tremain, Devin, and Mikayla. She is excited to be a part of this PTSA serving PHS and the community. In her free time, Shannah enjoys spending time with her family and attending events featuring cheerleaders or dancers. 


Sophia Hall, Treasurer 

Sophia was born in Brooklyn and raised in Kingston, Jamaica.  Sophia is a veteran of the United States Air Force and now currently works as a Management Program Analyst for USCIS.  She lives in Bristow with her husband, Darren and three of their five children; Xavier, Cameron, and Maxwell.  Sophia loves to volunteer and in her free time she enjoys going to her fitness classes and supporting her children in their various extracurricular activities.


Deb Gregoire, VP Ways & Means

Deb is a hard-working mom of three beautiful daughters and wife to Marcus Gregoire. Deb is not only serving on the PTSA Board at Patriot, but she's also the PTO President at Pennington School in Manassas.

The PTSA General Membership meetings will be held the second Tuesday of the months listed below starting at 7:30 p.m. in Commons 1. Please enter through door #1. Everyone is encouraged to come and join the PTSA! It's a great way to stay informed of all the activities and opportunities available at your child's school.
